Bura na mnao Holi hai

BURA NA MANO HOLI HAI.
This is the tagline of the festival of colours , Holi .But there are a few things that should be minded while playing the holi.
Holi is the festival of colours . Here the word 'colours' not only refers to the Gulal ( powdered colour) the colour means a new energy , a new life power .
This fest is celebrated in month of Falgun according to Hindu calendars. This is the time span when the flowering of trees snd plants get started. The cold weather starts getting warm day by day.  New colours of life gets injected In every species.
This festival originated in India as a Hindu festival. But now it is celebrated by all the religions in India. Not only in India , it is also popular in countries like Nepal , Indonesia and the other countries having population of Indian's.
The most common format of the Holi greeting is ;
'Wishing you and your family a very happy and SAFE holi.'
I have given special focus on the word safe . People add this word in their greeting , it means there are some safety issues associated with Holi. What are these issues ?  Is this all about protecting your eyes, skin beauty and hair or there is something else to care about . If there is , then what it could be ?
In past few years , the trend of the Holi celebration has been  changed. The Gulal has been replaced by other toxic colours and mud. The colour which is used in the industries as  markar , is wrapped in a piece of cloth. Then it is tied and dipped for a while in water. And then this Holi weapon 'Gudari'  is  ready for the use . And this is not all. In addition to this , mud is also used .
Misbehaving with the girls is very common in this festival. Some mentally sick guys find  it  cool to take the advantage of the Holi and do the embarrassing things while colouring the girls .
All these things are stigma on this festival of colurs and love.
But this year , there was a sign of change. The youth of India is changing. They have started playing Holi again in the traditional manners.It is a good sign that the current and the forthcoming generation is interested in celebrating the festival of Holi in a civilised manner.
 The drums have been replaced by DJ . People are playing holi , dancing and enjoying with the colours. The use of toxic colours and mud is being avoided .This is a good sign that youth of India is doing the Dahan (bonfire) of the Holika inside them.
If it will happen , then no one will be afraid and no one will hesitate to celebrate this colourful festival.
Be the part of this  change . Make Yourself feeling proud.
