वतन से इश्क

आंधियों से हो भयभीत,
बिना दुखों के ही  ग़मगीन

क्यों डरते हो तूफानों से ,जरा एक फ़िक्र हटा कर तो देखो;

तुमसे हर तूफ़ान डरेगा, हिम्मत ज़रा जुटा कर तो देखो।

पस्त हो रहा होंसला
लगे हर इरादा खोंखला,
क्यों डरते हो ऊँचाइयों से , दिल से डर मिटा कर तो देखो;
ख़िदमत में आकाश झुकेगा , नज़र ज़रा उठा कर तो देखो।

हर तरफ परछाईयां है,
भीतर दिल के तनहाइयाँ है।
क्यों डूबे हो तन्हाईयों में , दुश्मन को दोस्त बना कर  तो देखो;
हर जात धर्म सब साथ चलेगा , ज़रा एक कदम बढ़ा कर तो देखो ।

हर सड़क बंद हर गली बंद
आये न कोई राह नज़र
क्यों जकड़ गये हो इस जाल में , सोया शेर जगा के तो देखो
 देने को रस्ता सागर सूखेगा , पाँव ज़रा भीगा कर तो देखो ।

फ़ैली नफरत हर ओर है
मारकाट का शोर है
संकुचित हुए हो इन जन्ज़ालो में , किसी से दिल मिला कर तो देखो;
हर तरफ प्यार का चमन मिलेगा, ज़रा एक फ़ूल खिला कर तो देखो ।

 मोहब्बत क्यों बदनाम है
सब आशिक क्यों गुमनाम हैं
हर तरफ प्यार की नदी बहेगी, दो बूँद ज़रा बहा कर तो देखो;

कहते हैं सब इश्क गुनाह है, ज़रा वतन से दिल लगा कर तो देखो ।

Hindi poetry : कभी कभी मेरे दिल में

कभी कभी मेरे दिल में ये ख्याल आता है
सोच के भंवर में इक बवाल आता है।
रग रग में है  समाया  जो ख़ुदा
वजूद पे उसी के सवाल आता है।


खौफ के अंधियारों में छुपा हुआ जहान है
क्या मिटट्टी तेरी ही नही ये, गर्भ तक जो लहूलुहान है;
क्या ऐसी बातों पे कभी न तेरा ध्यान जाता है ?
कभी कभी मेरे  दिल में ये ख्याल आता है।


समाज में रिवाज में क्यों  फंसी हुई ये जान है,
क्या बेटी तेरी ही नही वो लुटा रही जो मान है;
इस सोच से मन में इक अजब सा भूचाल आता है,
कभी कभी मेरे दिल में ये ख्याल आता है।


तेरे नाम पे दुनिया लूट रहे क्या वो संत फ़कीर महान हैं,
पत्थर और सोने की मूरत क्या दोनों न एक समान हैं;
तेरे दर पे खड़ा होके ये सवाली  सवाल यही दोहराता है,
कभी कभी मेरे दिल में ये ख्याल आता है।


ये दुनिया भी अब अपनी खो चुकी पहचान है
जिंदगी खिलती थी  जहाँ  शहर वो अब वीरान है;
तू सोचे जिसे महान है
जिसपे इतना अभिमान है
ज़रा निगाह गौर से डाल ख़ुदा
वो बन गयी 'शमशान' है ।

क्यों क़व्वाली मातम की  सूफ़ी दिल ये गाता है
मैं ही क्या हर कोई अब तो यही हाल सुनाता है,

'कभी कभी मेरे दिल में ये ख्याल आता है।'

A Wandering Thought

On a clueless journey with an aimless mind, searching for a word evolution from the hearts of my heart.

Gyrating around the streets of hollowness, descending upon the peak of emptiness; I am wittingly pretending to act like a maniac.

I am tucking the beauty out of this hoaxing world, smiling nature is giving winking reaction.
A little bit diffident, abashed on my action;
I want to apologize for showing this frivolity, for showing this coyness.


Is it a contingency or a sinister ! leading my aghast soul to a poignant legend; I never wished for the latter but it could be your own wish .

I don't ever fucking doubt these signs, but right now I can feel a rebel in me; Never minding the result whatever it could be.

I was crying without tear , I was dying without fear; now is this a fall or a climb up toward the sky;
I don't know my limts but it is a strategic try.

I feel no need to introduce myself, boasting all the shit which is far away from what I am actually.
I am free vibe , an aimless dart;
I am power packed, memorising art.
Ignoring all inpetitudes.......

I am nothing but a thought wandering in your heart.

Movie Review : Wazir

Wazir is an intense thriller with predictable climax

Cast: Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, Aditi Rao Hydari, Neil Nitin Mukesh, John Abrahm

Pluses:

Impressive star cast and their performances , decent writing by Vidhu Vinod and Abhijit.

Minuses:.

Predictible climax, inconsistent editing, forced placing of songs, pathetic flashbacks, irritating background score, aimless direction

Details:

Film has a complicated storyline, the film starts off with  introduction of the ATS officer Danish Ali (Farhan Akhtar), his wife Ruhaana (Aditi Rao Hydari) and their only child Noorie. One day, when Danish is out with his family, he spot a dreaded terrorist Rameez (Naseer Husain). What follows after that is a series of chase sequences, which results in the sudden death of the innocent Noorie. Completely shattered by the death of his child, a mentally disturbed Danish Ali lands up 'eliminating' Rameez, which results in him being suspended from his service. 

Stressed with this grief, one day, just as he is about to kill himself, there enters a chess champion named Panditji aka Omkar Nath Dhar (Amitabh Bachchan) in his life. He, then, teaches Danish the 'similarities' between the 'game of life' and the 'game of chess'. Gradually, the two become the best of buddies and start spending time over drinks and chess. One fine day, Panditji reveals to Danish that his daughter was murdered by the politician Yazaad Qureshi (Manav Kaul) and that he is waiting to take revenge for the same. Danish joins Panditji in his battle against Yazaad Qureshi. As days pass, Danish realizes that Yazaad Qureshi is not just a mere politician, but is more than what meets the eye. Just when Danish plans to eliminate Yazaad Qureshi, Panditji gets 'attacked' by a certain mysterious villain named 'Wazir' (Neil Nitin Mukesh). What happens towards the end is something that turns Danish Ali's world upside down. Who is the real 'Wazir', what happens to Panditji in the end, does Danish Ali become successful in eliminating Yazaad Qureshi is what forms the rest of the film

Performance

Amitabh Bachhan is phenomenal, farhan akhtar has again delivered an honest performance. Aditi Rao is decent in her act, John and Neil Nitin Mukesh are energetic in cameos.

As a director, Bejoy Nambiar has disappointed a bit after a reality drama like shaitan. 

Background score is irritating and album has no chartbuster hit. 

Editing is clueless.

Final verdict

Watch it for great performances by Amitabh and Farhan.
